There are small children within the area, and we need to ensure we are being positive role models for them. We thank you in your cooperation in this.

The babies have been…
Exploring how to make marks using cotton wool, string, and paint. As well as continuing to explore their senses whilst playing in pasta, rice, crazy foam, and spaghetti. The babies also have loved sharing a variety of stories this week including our bug book.
Next week we will be…
Supporting their new peers in settling into the nursery, creating sun pictures using their hands to create prints, exploring the water tray whilst pouring and tipping the water from jugs and containers, as well as moving their bodies in a range of ways to music.
Toddlers have been…
Enjoying lots of time in the garden this week and have developed their hand eye coordination by throwing bean bags and balls through hoops. The Toddlers have also continued to explore how to make marks, this time using one handed tools (a paintbrush) to make marks on the paper.
Next week we will be…

Next week we will be…
Our new topic is – ‘Following our children’s individual interests.
Our Topic interests will be continuing to develop our interests in football by playing imaginatively at our football pitch small world area. During this time, we will also be developing our number recognition with the football players numbered shirts and recording how many goals we score. We will also be exploring the book of ‘Ten Little Dinosaurs’ to explore our interests in dinosaurs as well as creating a dinosaur jungle.
Our Phonics focus will be exploring the initial sounds in words whilst playing our phonics cupcake game. We will also be having a go at forming recognisable letters within our sand and using our CVC phoneme frames to have a go at recording a range of CVC words, identifying the initial, middle, and last sound in words.
Our Mathematical focus will be exploring number and the order that we count forwards and backwards. We will be trying to form our own numerals on post it notes, as well as driving our cars down numbered tubes and ramps during our garden play.
