There are no planned changes to next week’s menu.
If there are any changes during the week, you will be notified on your child’s individual hand over sheet.
If you would like a catch up with your child’s key carer at any time or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate in giving a member of the Management Team an email to arrange this. Our doors are always open. Corrin can arrange permanent session changes and Toni is able to book in extra sessions on your behalf. We are pleased to share with you that this year we can have our Graduation Party for our 3-5 children who will be leaving Wonderland during the Summer Term.
We will be inviting two adults per child (who is leaving Wonderland) to join us on:
Thursday 21st July – 2:45pm – 4:00pm
Our party will take place within our nursery garden, where the children will have a Graduation presentation and a party tea.
If your child does not attend Wonderland on a Thursday afternoon but they are leaving Wonderland during this coming Summer Term, they are more than welcome to come into Wonderland to be a part of the Graduation celebrations during this time.

We are so excited and delighted to announce the return of The Signing Company here at Wonderland. The Signing Company will be coming to Wonderland every other Monday morning with the first session being Monday 23rd May 2022.
Using signs from British Sign Language (BSL), The Signing Company teaches signing to babies, children, families, educational practitioners, and professionals to offer additional strategies to communication and learning, through classes, workshops and parties, they deliver enthusiastic and lively teachers and a relaxed atmosphere.
Good communication skills are vital to allow positive and effective learning.
We are very excited to welcome Becky back into our nursery for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic. Becky will be delivering sessions to our Babies, Toddlers, 2-3’s and 3-5’s Age Groups. Keep an eye on your child’s Tapestry Account so sneak peaks into their sessions!
Hannah Houghton our newest Member of the Management Team will be on the door during the morning drop off times next week. She will be supported by our Nursery Manager Corrin in the Main Area.
As this is Hannah’s first time on the door can we please ask all parents to bring your I’D Cards with them throughout next week as well as your child’s ID Cards to show Hannah during the morning drop off times. Please can we ask you all to support Hannah and showing understanding if she does not recognise you, can in turn asks to see your ID Cards as she will use these to identify you.

All of the children at Wonderland will be taking part in a range of special Jubilee party activities throughout the next two weeks.
If your child attends Wonderland on a Wednesday morning session we will be having our garden Jubilee party during our Wednesday lunch time sittings.
We would like to invite your children to dress up as Princes and Princess’, or in red, white or blue for this special day. If your child does not attend Wonderland on a Wednesday morning, they are more than welcome to dress up as stated above during the sessions they attend at Wonderland.
Emma Foskett within our Pre-school Team has decided to leave Wonderland and move on to a new adventure. Emma’s last day will be Tuesday 7th June. Please join us in thanking Emma for all of her hard work whilst being part of the team here at Wonderland and join us in wishing her luck in her new adventure.
Who let the Dad’s Out is a playgroup for Dad’s, Grandad’s and Father figures to bring their children who are under 6 years old to meet other children and have lots of fun!

On the farm creating multiple tuff trays exploring muddy tissue paper and creating on the farm animal footprints as well as exploring their spaghetti messy play tray. The Babies have also been enjoying their Tiny Mites music sessions sharing a range of nursery rhymes. Finally, the babies have also been building towers using large sensory blocks.

Exploring a range of sensory textures and toys, using puppets during song time to develop their learning the words through beloved nursery rhymes as well as learning Mathematical counting language using a range of toys and props.

Exploring different types of textures using their 5 senses whilst exploring their Gruffalo themed tuff tray. The children have also been exploring how they can make marks using a range of one-handed tools and paint.

Creating their very own crowns to wear at our Jubilee party and creating play dough bumblebees to celebrate bumblebee day.

Exploring our sound buttons matching our sounds to the initial sounds of objects hidden in the environment. The children have also been exploring our sensory tiles, describing the texture and feel of the tiles under their feet.
Our Mathematical focus have been…
Creating a range of shape patterns and shape pictures as well as building a range of models and constructing in a range of ways. The children have also been continuing their Sunflower Challenge. This week they have been looking at the changes in their sunflowers and measuring how tall each sunflower is. The children used nonstandard units and used multilink cubes to work out how many blocks high each sunflower was.

Creating a range of magical potions in the water tray, exploring our feelings through paint and movement, where we used our feet to walk across large pieces of paper, we have also been having a go at being ‘Art Critics’ this week, looking at a range of sunflower art pictures to discuss what they noticed and what they could see.

Creating a range of different sized towers out of Lego blocks and cardboard boxes to make the Elizabeth Tower. The children will then measure their towers using a range of nonstandard and standard measuring units.

Exploring our tea party interactive tray set up, pretending to make each other cups of tea as well as using our senses to identify the different smells and tastes of the teas, as well as exploring a range of pictures of the Royal Family and then drawing pictures of our own families.
