Please can we ask that all children always have a named sunhat with them at nursery. The children explore the nursery gardens throughout the nursery day, when it is safe for them to do so, however we must ensure they are also wearing a sun hat and sun cream. Check out this new and exciting soft play centre/café located in the quaint town of Baldock. They provide soft play fun for your little ones as well as a lovely selection of cakes, hot drinks and iced coffee.

Keeping cool by exploring a range of fruit slices and ice cubes within their paddling pool as well as having a sensory disco to develop their awareness of different textures and tracking of light objects. The babies have also been exploring the musical instruments to develop their awareness of sound and their hand eye coordination.
Exploring lots of ice play this week as well as creating their very own marmalade sandwiches for Paddington! During their garden play The Toddlers have been moving over and under our apparatus and enjoying a teddy bears picnic.
Having another creative week this week, creating their very own butterfly print pictures and sunset pictures. The children have also been enjoying lots of parachute play, having a go at using their number language whilst singing 5 Cheeky Monkeys jumping on the bed.
Our topic is – Graduation!
Our Phonics focus have been… Aspect 1 within Phase 1 Letters and Sounds – Environmental Sounds.
The children have been hiding a variety of instruments underneath a cloth. Taking it in turns to see if they can listen to the sound the instrument makes and identify the instrument correctly.
The children have also be completing sound lotto games and taking part in a listening walk around the nursery garden.
Our Mathematical focus has been... Continuing our sunflower challenge, looking at the patterns and symmetry of the different parts of the plant.
